LAGOS: 22 injured in domestic gas explosion

Twenty two people were, late on Monday afternoon, injured in a domestic gas explosion that occurred in Epe, Lagos State. The injured victims, including six teenagers, are currently receiving treatment at Epe General Hospital, according to report from Nigerian Tribune The incident occurred from one of the cooking gas cylinders at 21, Jolayemi Street, after a cooking exercise by one of the occupants. Director of the Lagos State Fire Service, Rasak Fadipe, confirmed the incident adding that fire fighters assisted in the rescue of the victims. conitinue....

Fadipe said that officials of the state government, while reacting to a distress call in Epe, rescued 22 people. The fire service men were able to rescue all occupants of the building, though they all sustained varying degrees of injury.
